

If you’re a meat lover and you’ve never had donair—a pita sandwich popular in Canada that’s stuffed with beef, tomatoes and onions—odds are, it sounds pretty good. But if you’re Canadian, a donair just isn’t complete without the sauce…and that’s where things get a bit unconventional.

Method
Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl until well combined. Place in the refrigerator and let cool for about 1 hour before serving. The mixture will thicken as it cools.
Adjust the thickness to your taste and either spoon over pizza or transfer to a squeeze bottle and drizzle. Serve extra sauce on the side for dipping.
